Q. Since update to 4.3, chart upload seems slower. What can I do? A. With the iOS 4.0 multitasking feature, many apps stay open in the background of your iPhone using up a lot of memory. If you experience chart uploading problems, do the following:
1) Switch your iPhone off, this will cause all the apps running in background to close);
2) Switch your iPhone back on;
3) Open the Navionics App;
Apps can also be switched off one by one, without switching off the phone: press the HOME button (the one at the bottom of the screen) twice and all the open apps will show in an horizontal list. Press hard on the one you want to exit and then delete them from the list one at a time.
This will clear the phone’s memory and the app should run quicker and load charts.
