THE REASON FOR THIS INFORMATION NOTICE
This information notice is issued in accordance with article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 – “Code for the protection of Personal Data” - for whoever makes use of Navionics Apps commercialized on the various Web Stores where they are available.
The information notice is also based on Recommendation no. 2/2001 issued by the European Union Authorities for the protection of personal data, meeting within the working group established by article 29 or Directive No. 95/46. The Recommendation was adopted on 17 May 2001 to identify certain minimum requirements for the collecting of personal data on-line, and more specifically, the procedures, timing and nature of the information that Data Controllers must provide users when the latter connect to web pages, irrespective of their reasons for connecting.
By reason of accessing and using the functionalities of the Navionics App (the ”App”), no personal data relating to people that might be identified is processed by Navionics unless the data is voluntary submitted by the User. Certain anonymous navigational data may be processed as specified below.
TYPE OF DATA
Data submitted by the user
Navionics does not voluntary collect personal data by the users of the App.
However, the users may voluntary contribute user generated contents. As used herein, term “Community Layer” (CL) means any data created by you or by any other party of the Navionics Community with the aid of Navionics products and shared with Navionics or any party of the Navionics Community. CL includes, but is not limited to, data as a result of the addition of points of interest (POI) and other cartographic object addition, error fixing or discrepancy reports submitted by you. CL may be used only to correct or improve Navionics’s charts and they do not include any personal data. By submitting, posting or displaying CL, you grant Navionics and its affiliates a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license as better specified in the EULA agreement accepted by you at the moment of purchasing the Navionics products.
By submitting CL, you consent Navionics to collect the GPS position of your mobile allowing you to contribute your CL. The processing of your GPS position is not made, and will not result, in your identification or localization, and is carried out exclusively for technical reasons in order to ensure the accuracy of the CL.
CL may include contents which the user voluntary and at his/her sole discretion share with the Navionics community.
In submitting all the above data the user transmit to Navionics his/her e-mail address.
Unless as specified above, CL is not processed by Navionics.
Navigation data
The computer systems and software applications responsible for the functioning of this App may acquire certain data during the course of their normal operations, where the transmission of this data is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This refers to data that have not been collected to be associated with identified parties, but which, by their very nature, might allow the user to be identified through the association of the same with data held by third parties.
This data if and were existing are not used in any manner by Navionics not even for retrieving anonymous statistical information on the use of the App. The data is not stored, processed or retained by Navionics.

The App does not make use of any cookie
PROCESSING PROCEDURES
The data submitted by the user or collected by Navionics are processed using electronic means, for the time needed to achieve the purposes for which the data are provided by the users.
Specific safety measures are observed to prevent the loss of data, unlawful or incorrect use and unauthorised access.
Using the functionalities of the App the user may voluntary transmit data (also personal data such as personal information, photograph, navigation routes, comments etc) to other platforms (such as Facebook, Twitter, Navionics Community etc). The data which the user transmits to other platforms through the functionalities of the App, might be stored, processed retained by third parties. It is a precise responsibility of the user to ascertain the processing procedure of their data by accessing the Privacy Policies of the entities managing the platforms to which the data are transmitted. Navionics does not store, process or retain any data (personal or otherwise) which the user may transmit by using the functionalities of the App to any third party.
The transactions related to the purchase of the Apps from the various Web Stores such as ITunes or Google Play are processed by such Web Stores and their worldwide subsidiaries under their own Privacy Policies and commercial Terms and Conditions, and are disclosed to Navionics only in aggregated form for the purpose of the regulation of the business relationships existing between Navionics and the same Web Stores.
DATA PROCESSING LOCATION
The processing of the data provided by the User to Navionics or collected by the same through the App takes place at the offices of Navionics and is only attended to by technical staff appointed for the processing, or by those possibly appointed to conduct periodic maintenance operations.

RIGHTS OF RELEVANT PARTIES
As regards navigational data no relevant processing under the meaning of Legislative Decree No. 196/2003 is carried out by Navionics S.p.A. As regards the other personal data, provided by the users, the rights of the users are those specified in Art. 7 of the above mentioned Legislative Decree. In particular, you have the right to obtain the confirmation as to whether or not Navionics still retains your data and to know the content of the same. You are also entitled to verify the accuracy of your Data, and to obtain the updating, correction or integration of the same. You also have the right to obtain the cancellation and/or the anonymization or the blocking of your Data in case they are processed illegally, and, finally, to object to the processing of your Data by sending a notice to Navionics S.p.A. at the following e-mail address: privacy@navionics.it or to the Administration Manager of Navionics S.p.A, Corso Magenta, 43 – Milano.
